Lysionotus

This is an unusual genus of epiphytic Asian gesneriads with smooth, fleshy underground rhizomes and lovely lavender-blue slipper-shaped flowers in clusters above the foliage. Lysionotus are of easy culture and are grown successfully out-of-doors all year in mild winter climates.

NEW! - Light buttery yellow flowers are produced in abundance on long stems held high above its bright waxy green foliage from spring through fall. It was originally identified as a new hybrid from Japan, but little else is known about this cultivar's history. It likes to be kept moist and with cool growing temperatures.
