Semituberous (Caudiciform) Begonias
Begonias in this group form a thickened basal stem called a caudex. These caudex-forming begonias may show a seasonal growth pattern when grown in natural light. They should be treated as succulents and allowed to dry out thoroughly between watering. All are varieties of Begonia dregei. Excellent bonsai subjects.
