Plumeria
Plumerias (also called Frangipani) are the essence of Hawaii. The wonderful fragrance from its waxy flowers in shades of white, yellow, pink, and red permeates the air. They are the most loved lei flowers for residents and tourists alike. Plumerias are native to Mexico and other areas of tropical America. The genera comprise 7 species with most of the common cultivars derived from Plumeria rubra.
Plumerias must have good drainage and are best planted in a well-draining soil mix, such as for cactus. They need full sunlight to bloom. For maximum flowers, feed with a high-bloom type fertilizer. They will drop all their leaves in winter. At that time keep them on the dry side until leaves start to appear in the spring. As a tender tropical, they must be protected from frost. USDA Zones 10 - 11.
Our grower pruned back his collection of plumerias last year and now has established rooted plants for a one time offering. To the upper left is an example of the 5 inch tube pots and the plant size, ranging from 8 to 18 inches above the container. As these weigh heavier than most of our offerings, there is an extra $5.00 packing and shipping charge on each.

Unless noted otherwise, there is a maximum limit of 3 for each kind of plant, but order as many different varieties as you wish. We grow many different plants, but we don't grow a lot of any one kind. However, if you need more than 3 of a certain variety, please send us an email. We might be able to accommodate your request.
