Large evergreen perennial with erect rosette of light green leaves to 10 feet wide. Spring bloom with bright red flowers on arching 15 foot high stalk. Usually takes several years before flowering. Sun or part shade, good drainage, regular watering. Hardy to mid 20's. Uncommon. Native to Australia.
