Family: Melianthaceae Similar to Melianthus major but grows only half the size to 4 feet. Leaves are greener with dull red flowers held within the plant. Tropical looking foliage for effect in containers or in the ground. Best in a sheltered location with rich soil and moisture, sun or light shade. Can withstands short period of light frost. South Africa.
