Family: Solanaceae Rare exquisite vine from Southern Mexico and Central America. It has 4 inch light green to emerald tapered leaves on graceful twining branches. The large flower clusters consist of sweetly fragrant 3/4 inch waxy star-shaped blooms of vivid purple with prominent yellow centers. They are followed by small red berry-like fruits. Nearly everblooming. Grow in a wind-protected sunny location. Hardy to 28F. However, it would be wise to protect from hard frosts.
