Family: Gesneriaceae NEW! 2010 - A superb varient of the Brazillian species, this the ancestor to the modern florist gloxinia. It's a large growing plant with a rosette of olive-green leaves. The beautiful flowers are white with dark blue-purple throats. Easy to grow container plant in well-drained soil and fairly hardy to USDA zone 8.
