Kartuz Greenhouses has been providing rare and unusual mail-order plants for avid gardeners, hobbyists, and plant collectors for well over 40 years. This year we offer approximately 1,000 different plants in our online catalog. The nursery is located in Vista, California in Northern San Diego County, an area noted for it's mild Mediterranean climate. We no longer offer a printed catalog.

Shipping Information
Please Read Before Ordering

Our shipping season extends throughout the year to mild winter areas of California, western and southern states. To colder parts of the country, it may be necessary to delay shipment of orders received after mid-October until spring. We will ship out of Southern California to these areas between November and April at customer's risk.

Orders are processed in the sequence received. We try to send them out as quickly as possible, but please allow up to four weeks during our busy spring season. Your patience is appreciated.

Orders are sent by U.S. Postal Service Priority (Air) Mail. Street or P.O. Box address is ok. Plants are established in 2", 3", or 4" pots, and are carefully packed to avoid damage during transit. Our packing method is well designed to meet the rigors of shipment. Our plants are guaranteed to arrive alive and healthy. If there is any damage or problem with your order, please notify us within 10 days of receipt for replacement or credit.

IMPORTANT: Sometimes there may be shortages of popular plants or new introductions. Please list alternate choices in the "comments" section upon checkout or on the back of the paper order form. Orders which indicate "no substitutions" may get delayed until they can be completely filled. We reserve the right to substitute on all orders of less than $30. For those plants that you do not receive, it is suggested that you reorder later. We do not "back-order" plants.

Minimum order is $19.50, plus the packing and postage fee (see chart below.) Credit cards, checks, or money orders are accepted for payment. However, credit cards are preferred. They are not charged to your account until the day your order is sent. We only accept Visa, Master Card, and The Discover Card. For your protection, your credit card numbers and personal information are encrypted and sent to us through Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with 128-bits encryption. Payment by check can result in a delayed shipment until paid by your bank.

If you do not wish to order online, you may print out the order form from the link above and mail it to us. You may also phone, fax or email us your order. You should not use email to send us your credit card information. You may also proceed through "checkout" and send us the order online by choosing the check option. If we do not receive your check within 2 weeks, we will assume that the order is cancelled.

Please make a copy of the invoice page for your records. An automatic email confirmation is sent upon order completion. Many are returned as undeliverable due to restrictive spam or firewall settings. Please be sure that your email address is correct. If you only accept preselected email addresses, please allow our email from . If you fail to receive the confirmation, please contact us and we will attempt to resend it.

Please note: We are unable to supply individual plants in large quantities or sell to wholesale buyers.

Packing and Postage Fees

Plants are shipped via U.S. Priority Mail (usually 2-3 days delivery).

We charge a flat rate of $8.00 plus $1.00 for each plant ordered.

California residents please add 8-3/4% (8.75%) sales tax.

We do not accept foreign orders.

Our Privacy Policy: We are committed to protecting your privacy. Kartuz Greenhouses will never disclose, sell, or rent your name or personal information to any third parties.

Unless noted otherwise, there is a maximum limit of 3 for each kind of plant, but order as many different varieties as you wish. We grow many different plants, but we don't grow a lot of any one kind. However, if you need more than 3 of a certain variety, please send us an email. We might be able to accommodate your request.
