Begonia 'Amaterasu'
Begonia Amaterasu

This is a reintroduction of an old offering. Begonia 'Amaterasu' is a very easy to grow magnificent hybrid from Japan with red-backed, dark coppery leaves and clusters of brilliant orange flowers. Absolutely fabulous when in bloom and the parent or ancestor of many bronze-leaved orange-flowered begonias. A very important begonia in the history of canes, as many bronze-leaved or red or orange flowers would not exist if Joukichi Kawanami had not created it. Compact, upright growth habit. A great specimen to have. (Kawanami)
