Common name refers to the shape and color of the flower, somewhat resembling a gold fish. Easy to grow rainforest epiphytic species from Brazil. It has semi-succulent, glossy, dark green leaves with pouched-shaped orange flowers that attract hummingbirds. Give it part shade, good drainage, rich soil. It's very drought tolerant, so it makes an ideal hanging basket that gets irregular watering. Give regular feeding to promote blooms. USDA zones 9 - 11.
