This medium to large leaved rhizomatous begonia has been in circulation for at least 40 years. It was originally a seedling just labeled Bokit x carrieae created by Leslie Woodriff but was later named and circulated under the name 'Wild Pony' by Brad Thompson. It is somewhat wild and sprawling and takes a little work to make a nicely shaped plant. But it's a wonderful plant for hybridizing, as it seems to pass on it's vigor, spirals, and coloring, which is green with dark markings along the veins. Easy to grow and a survivor, as its longevity in circulation would imply. New Kartuz introduction for 2017. (Woodriff)
