This is a thick-stemmed species from India discovered in 1828. A charming small growing begonia that is almost never out of bloom. It puts out a constant supply of its two petal white to pale pink flowers which gives it its name. Low growing with small to medium bright green leaves. Leaves are long and narrow, lightly lobed and serrated. Leaves have a lightly textured surface, sparse hairs, slightly raised between prominent veins. It is an important plant to hybridizers because when crossed with other plants, it adds distinctive foliage. Very easy to grow from seed and a great plant for anyone just learning. Easy to grow and compact, but keep on the dry side. As one of our favorite species, it's a great plant to aquire.
