Its canopy of luminous, pale yellow-green leaves creates a stunning effect in a tropical garden against a backdrop of dark foliage. Best color develops in full sun or bright shade. It prefers sandy soil and is resistant to salt spray. However, it cannot take any cold weather. It's strictly a tropical plant, only suitable for southern Florida, the Caribbean, Hawaii or in a warm greenhouse. Grows rapidly to 15 feet. The small inconspicuous flowers seldom appear.
