Family: Piperaceae

NEW! - This is one of the showiest peperomias. The thick reddened stems are adorned with striking succulent leaves of green, cream, and rosy-pink, bordered with red margins. It's a compact grower making it ideal for the house or greenhouse. Grow it in bright light for best coloring, but not direct sunlight. This easy plant should be grown in potting soil that drains well and only watered when the top of the soil is dry. It's very sensitive to water-logged soil and does best if slightly pot-bound. Feed monthly with a balanced liquid fertilizer. It produces greenish-white flower spikes, which can be pruned off to make a tidier plant. The parent species to this cultivar is native to the West Indies and Venezuela. USDA zones 10b - 11.
