Family: Rubiaceae Beautiful tropical foliage plant with pleated satiny leaves, dark velvet bronze-green above and red below, silvery veins. Give part shade, rich, moist soil, somewhat dry in winter. Grows up to 3 feet in height, but easily grown smaller in pots. Native to Guatemala and Southern Mexico. USDA zones 9b - 11.
