Family: Malpighiaceae Berries produced by this shrubby hybrid are one of the best sources of vitamin C known, the source of Acerola vitamin C. Clusters of 1/2" pink fringed orchid-like flowers and dark green glossy leaves make it a fine ornamental as well. One of the best edibles for container culture. Native to American Tropics and West Indies.
