Family: Acanthaceae Grows to 4 ft. high, with 5 inch long thin, finely pubescent, narrow ovate leaves. Blooms in winter with 3" spikes of 1" long dark red bracts with 2" bright red flowers resembling those of the "shrimp plant". Part shade. Protect from frost.
