Family: Acanthaceae Colorful golden leaves with green center area and wavy edges. Evergreen tropical shrub to 4 feet, but can be kept to 2 feet as a greenhouse plant. Flowers are tubular, reddish-purple. Best with bright light and moist soil. Use in tropical landscape beds or in mixed containers. Heat and humidity tolerant. Minimum winter temperature of 40 F.
