An improved cultivar of Australian origin selected for its 3 inch satiny flowers of rich deep purple and a more compact growth habit. Blooms in summer and fall. Leaves of a beautiful velvety nature. Makes a superb patio plant, growing 2 to 3 feet in a container. Plant in full sun with rich, well-drained, slightly acidic soil and plenty of moisture. Protect from frost. USDA zones 9b - 11. Species native to southern Brazil.
