Family: Apocynaceae

This is a diminutive slender vining succulent with 1 inch fuzzy maroon striped flowers. These flowers trap tiny flies inside which are then released when the flower is pollinated. The vine grows from thick fleshy roots. Give it bright light but no direct sun with a fast draining succulent soil mix. Water freely in summer but give a drier rest in the winter. Grow on a trellis or in a hanging basket. It's a tender plant that is best grown indoors. Native to Kenya and South Africa.
